Yup. You read that right. It’s finally here! Tonight, on Conan, here’s your chance to see Everest live and in person (okay, as live and in person as a taped in the early evening East Coast time national television broadcast can be).
Seriously, don’t miss this. I’ve got the fine adult beverages chilling for later already, am thinking about inviting some folks over, and I’m hoping for “Rebels”, but seriously, whatever they play will be fine with this girl. It’s hard to believe that the first time I got to see them play live was via the Amoeba webcast a few weeks ago, and that the second time will be on national TV. It’s all trés moderne, no? Plus, the band will get to meet one of my favorite tall, funny, red-headed men in the world, so I’m quite jealous.
Tour dates will arrive soon, I’ve been told. Yeah, I’ve heard that before. Really, I look at it as a continuous exercise in expanding one’s level of patience, sort of like a bizarre form of mental rock ‘n’ roll yoga. Or something.
